Suddenly the light at the end of the tunnel feels like a candle at the end of the catacombs.

I'm not entirely sure if I believe in an afterlife. On one hand, it's hard to believe that once someone passes, they're gone forever. On the other, it's just as hard to believe that all of your loved ones are waiting for you on the other side like it's one huge airport. Mom and Dad are there to give you a hug. Uncle Ed is off at the bar having a beer - because, really, have you ever seen Uncle Ed without a beer? ...do they even have beer in the afterlife?
Anyway, whether there's a heaven, a hell or even a comet we'll all go to when we don our tracksuits and Nikes, the idea of ghosts is a part of every religion, a part of history itself. Unexplained footfalls, cold spots, disembodied voices...sure, you could always find ways to explain why people experience these things but, at the same time, it really makes you wonder. If so many people have experienced hauntings in some shape or form, can you truly say ghosts don't exist?
Honestly, I kind of hope they do exist. The entire idea of it always interested me. When I was younger, my friends and I even formed a sort of Scooby gang and checked out supposedly haunted places. We never saw anything, but we caught a few weird things on recordings and in pictures. Whether it was real, or a figment of our imagination, I never figured that out, but it didn't matter much. Not to me, at least. I was always the one doing the research and reading up on the history of things. ...honestly that was scarier and far more interesting than actually going to the haunted houses.
...I'm babbling. What I originally planned on saying when I started updating this thing, is...have a fun Halloween, kids. Eat candy until you puke, don't drink too much and if you happen to run into a ghost, try to get me a picture. Maybe with your arm around them while you give a thumbs up or something.

At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world.
Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just not facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world, six billion souls.
And sometimes… all you need is one.

Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come.

It would seem we've inherited a number of kittens. I hope no one's allergic.

If I was to start a vegetable garden, what plants would be the most useful to everyone?
I need to do something to help
Without them, I feel so damned useless

"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out of your door," he used to say. "You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to."
